As we continue to navigate through this pandemic, and look at how we can safely reopen a library like the BEC, that has run on a self checkout procedure, we ask for your patience and understanding. We will do all we can to formulate a plan of reopening that will help assure the safety of our patrons, Library Director and volunteers. We do know it will look different then how the BEC library normally has operated. We sadly will not be able to run the 2020 Children’s Summer Rea...ding Program. We will gravely miss this, but know it is the right decision. Continue to check back for updates on the BEC operations and reopening plan.

The BEC Library is closed until further notice. There are book drop bins outside or you can wait until we open again to drop off any returns. We will not be accepting book donations until we reopen. We will open again when the Franklin County Public Libraries reopen.... When we open again we will extend the Winter Reading program, for teens and adults, an extra two weeks and then draw the Grand Prize winners.

Here are some new items now in circulation at BEC. We are continuously processing and adding donated items to our shelves for you to enjoy.

We have had 9 winners so far in the BEC Library Winter Reading program for adults and teenagers. If you haven’t joined in the fun yet, stop by and see what it’s all about. It’s easy! Simply fill out a slip for each book you read and place it in the box. Every week during February and March, 3 winners are drawn. You could be the next one to receive some great prizes donated by Norland Avenue Pharmacy’s gift shop!
