Alright folks, being a cop, I've seen peoples homes catch fire from dryers.... I hate going to bed or even leaving home with the dryer on. We bought this house ...less than a year ago and I've noticed our clothes have taken longer than usual to dry. Our dryer duct is ran up through the wall and exhaust out the roof.... so the built up lint in the duct would have a harder time pushing out since it has to go up of course. Anyhow, I purchased this gadget for $20 at the Home Depot. (I had to get two cause of the length of the duct and roof height. So $40 bucks spent.) I'm truly a believer now that people need to take just an hour of their time to get this done. It could potentially save your home and save you money from energy use. This house was built in 1989, so the duct has probably never been cleaned out. (Also, I set up my shop vac close to the vent in order to help catch the dust I was stirring up.)
