A mature bald eagle in the Northeast Region was recently released back into the wild after spending nearly two weeks at the Carbon County Environmental Educatio...n Center (CCEEC). Bradford County homeowners Whit and Norma Moore, of Le Raysville, discovered the eagle on their property on Oct. 24, 2020, unable to fly or stand upright. State Game Warden Mike Goodenow responded and the eagle was transported to the CCEEC for evaluation and treatment. The eagle was released on November 6, 2020 at the same site where it was found. The Game Commission would like to thank the Moores and the CCEEC for their support in saving one of nature’s most charismatic birds of prey.
