The officers and members of Brownsville Fire Co. #1 would like to express our sympathies and condolences to our brothers and sisters of Station 21 - Hiller Volunteer Fire Company. Patrick Ballon was not only a long time member and Past Chief of HVFC but a life long friend to our company and our community. He will be sadly missed.

** ACTIVE INCIDENT ** Crews are operating on 5th Ave in the area of Baltimore St on a house fire. Utility lines next to the structure were affected from the blaze. Portions of Brownsville Borough and Brownsville Township may notice a disconnect of power, phone, and cable while the utility crews make their repairs. ... Phone, cable, and power companies are on site beginning repairs.

Last evening our company was dispatched to a residential structure fire at approx 1920hrs. 5 Engine 2 arrived within 4 minutes of dispatch to find heavy fire showing from the rear of the building with all occupants out of the building and accounted for. Crews from our company and automatic mutual aid companies, performed an interior attack, vertical ventilation, and overhaul. Bringing the fire under control at 2002hrs. Unfortunately the residents were displaced due to the h...eavy fire damage the house sustained and have been in contact with the American Red Cross.
