Halloween will look different this year, and that's OK! While many of the traditional Halloween activities can be high-risk for spreading viruses, here are a few alternative ways to participate in Halloween: Carving or decorating pumpkins Decorating your house, apartment, or living space Having a virtual Halloween costume contest... Having a Halloween movie night with people you live with Having a scavenger hunt-style trick-or-treat search in or around your home However Halloween may differ from past years, have fun, be safe, and have a happy Halloween!

Did you know that pumpkins float? We want your children to float, too! Our program begins by teaching children basic survival techniques like floating on their back. Many drownings occur when children are not expected to be swimming - that’s where floating comes in, as it allows children to roll onto their back and rest at the water’s surface. While floating, children can breathe without obstruction or difficulty, yell out for help if they are unable to swim to safety, or rest until they’re able to propel themselves to the edge of the pool! Start learning life saving survival techniques today at BritishSwimSchool.com!

At British Swim School, we strongly believe that the physical and emotional wellbeing of our students should never be overshadowed. While carrying out our mission of spreading water safety awareness and teaching strong swim skills, we focus on cultivating a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. In the best interest of those who participate in our aquatic program as well as being committed to the Safe Sport Act, British Swim School is proud to share more on the details of our partnership with the U.S. Center for SafeSport. Visit our blog to learn more about the Safe Sport Act and the steps being taken to provide a safe, inclusive, and anti-bullying culture for our students and young athletes! https://bit.ly/2ESVstJ

Remaining in swim lessons year-round allows children to practice water safety and swim skills on a routine basis. And with less swimming instruction available this summer, more time and experience in the water allows children to build on the skills they've already established while also improving health, confidence, and personal development. Watch this short video to learn more about the benefits of swimming year-round!
