Children ages 3 to 5 years old who used screens more than the recommended one hour per day without the parental involvement had lower levels of development in the brain's white matter."

Did you know based on a study in 2015 by vision scientist, Martin Banks, that you can tell some animal's place in the food chain based on their eye pupil shape? Predators, like cats and snakes, have pupils in the shape of vertical slits to judge the distance separating them from prey. Other animals, like goats and deer, have pupils in the shape of horizontal slits to have panoramic vision to be on the look out for predators. Today, September 11, we remember the victims, send our warmest thoughts to their families, and thank the first responders who risked their lives to keep us safe that day, 18 years ago, and every day.
