Delivering the mail... trucks! Out with the old & in with the new.

Friday night fun! Received a call from the City of Washington Fire Dept. that a delivery truck backed into a sign & knocked it over onto fiber optic lines. It was ready to fall over into lanes of traffic. Power was turned off to the sign, then wires were disconnected to the sign. We rigged 2 straps around the center to be able to capture the base as well as the sign. Once we boomed up to remove the sign off of the lines, the pole was cut & we lowered it out of the way. Job we did last night at the Washington County Airport. Had a Cessna Citation S2 go off the runway about 60 feet. Thanks to Skyward Aviation for the help . Accident we worked tonight. Truck left the roadway & ended up on top of a fallen tree & another stump. Passengers were not injured.
