As your trusted Real Estate Agent and Advisor let me start by saying this might just be a great time for you to either be: shopping for your dream home or refinancing your existing mortgage. If you are in a tight spot, now might be the time to reach out for help with your current mortgage even. I can help guide you through all of these options! Rates are still so low so I would pray wi...th you and create a decisive plan that will help guide you. Here is a recent situation I helped a client with: The current mortgage rate was higher than the current refinance mortgage rates. After a refinance with my preferred lender partner monthly mortgage payments were lowered significantly -- over $300 a month. The return was more money monthly in the client’s pocket. Perhaps though you don’t qualify for the refinance. That is ok. maybe you may qualify for a loan modification. This could lower your monthly payment if you have a higher interest than the current rates offered. What if you don’t qualify for the loan modification program? Then I would suggest asking your lender about hardship programs. Banks don’t want a foreclosure on your home. The government is making it worth their while to work with you especially under current circumstances. Your lender wants to help you. America doesn’t need the same crisis in times past.
