I live in the country, and been hearing a pack of them howling every night.

It is that time of the year: tick season! Since we had ANOTHER warm winter, these suckers will be plentiful. This here is the common Brown Dog Tick. They are found mostly all over the USA. I found this "blood"sucker crawling on my neck! It is very important to keep your dogs (and cats) on a flea and tick prevention! These parasites can carry diseases that can make your pet very ill! As well as us! Contact your Veterinarian/Staff about what is the best prevention for your pet. PS: Did you know that there are various stages to the tick? The most common stage we see is the adult tick (picture below), but they can start bitting during their nymph stage! The difference is that the adult has 8 legs and the nymph has 6 legs!
