Last July, SILK was brought in by the Dog Warden. She came in growling & didn’t want any part of us. Every time we walked past her she was growling with her tail tucked. After a couple days, our director, Tom asked her to sit & she did, no growling. He asked for her paw & she gave it ever so gently but wouldn’t look at him. She finally let him take her on a nice walk & finished with paw & eye contact! SILK needs someone to take time to come visit her often until she gets to ...know you. Tom has spent so much time with her & as you can see they absolutely love each other... but Tom already has 4 dogs. We know SILK will love someone as much as Tom so please share so we can find the person she is meant for. SILK is about 3 years old. She does not do well with large family drama & needs a quite home. GOOSE came into our care yesterday. The first overnight in the shelter can be really scary, so our director went in extra early just to make sure he is OK. GOOSE is a 5 year old lab mix. This boy is a gentle giant but not good with other animals. GOOSE was adopted from a Philly Shelter a few years ago & now finds himself in our shelter. Can someone please commit to giving this boy a loving home forever? He is scheduled to see Dr. Dawn tomorrow for shots & exam, & then he i...s ready to have visitors. HERSHEY is such a sweet girl! She is one of our longest residents here. She is about 3 years old & spayed. HERSHEY doesn't seem to mind other dogs from a distance, but she doesn't like them in her space. She is looking for a home where she can be the one & only. PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE.... Two days before Christmas, these two sweet souls lost their loving dad & their home in a tragic fire. This big boy is RICCO (11 years old), & his companion LAYLA ( 9 year old). RICCO just wants us to sit next to him all day & pet him & LAYLA loves when we go in to talk to them. They are such nice dogs but really confused as to why they are at the shelter & they really miss their dad. We are praying we can find a loving home for them together to... live out their lives. They will do best in a home with no other pets. And we recommend a home with no young children just because at their age they do not need to be tolerant of a small child loving them like they are stuffed animals. *Update* You all are the BEST! In record time (abut 1/2 an hour) we had 6 families plus a rescue call to express interest in this pup! Thank you so much!! We are trying to keep a 12 year old Shih Tzu out of the shelter. Needs to be rehomed no fault of owner. Only medical issues is the pup has dry eyes & needs drops. Female up to date on shots. ... HOPE - Adopted! When found this sweet sweet senior gal, she was loaded with flees. Tom gave her a quick bath but her fur was still matted & nails were long. Thanks to Lisa's Expert Care in Weatherly for giving her a complimentary grooming day! We are so thankful she was adopted by the first family on her list.
