Pretty Exciting Day for Carbon County GIS. This morning our friends at Lehigh County GIS, pointed to this article from our software provider ESRI. Showcasing, their newest feature available in Esri Vector Basemaps. What that new feature will be, is a tile set of contour lines, including contours in a new multisource tile layer, as part of a web map named Topographic (with Contours). This cover article, could have shown contours anywhere in the world. As they, are an inte...rnational company. But, it showcased the contour lines along the gap in the Blue Mountain at the intersection of Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton County. Carbon GIS, has been doing work in that area with our County Boundaries, so it's rather apropos that this comes at a time like this. Stay tuned for more exciting content. We are working hard at bringing you the very best in GIS. - CCGIS

It takes a lot to make a Geographic Information System, and Carbon County's GIS is no exception. We have partners and entities we rely upon and work with. The keystone partner is ESRI. Here is a little bit about them.
