COVID-19: CCC response At Cardiology Care for Children, we are committed to maintaining patient and staff safety during this current pandemic while striving to meet your urgent medical needs. The following is a list of measures we are currently taking to limit the risk to patients and staff and ask for your patience and compliance as we continue to adapt to the new normal we all find ourselves in. Limiting contact:... Telemedicine appointments: Meet with Dr Chowdhury from the safety and comfort of your home. In-office appointments: Patients that are scheduled in-office are spaced apart so paths are not crossed. Waiting room: Rooming patients right away to avoid patient to patient contact while in the waiting room. Person limit: Only one(1) family member/guardian may accompany the patient into the office. All others must remain in their vehicle. Temperature Check: All employees and any person entering the office will be getting their temperature check with a no-touch infra-red thermometer. If your child or anyone in your household are experiencing fever, respiratory or flu symptoms, please call our office ahead of time. Protective equipment: Face masks required: No entry permitted to the office without a face mask. Nose and mouth must be fully covered. Masks are not to be removed at any time while in the office. Staff safety gear: All staff are equipped with PPE. Those with long term patient contact will also be wearing face shields and change gown coverings after each patient Cleaning: Rooms and equipment are thoroughly cleaned after each patient. You can help! Masks!! Always wear your mask and avoid touching or removing it while in public. Stay home. In office appointments are based on urgency. Avoid going out if you don’t have to. Don’t go out if you have symptoms or think you have been in contact with someone who is sick. Social-distancing: 6 ft. Try to observe social distancing rules and remember to wash your hands often. Stay safe

Our job is to take care of our patients, but sometimes our patients take care of us as well. We are incredibly grateful to the supportive Millen family for donating N95 masks and hand sanitizer to our clinic so we can see our emergency patients. We strive to ensure the health and safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, and we are very fortunate to have these supplies. In difficult times like we are facing now, it’s important that we all stick together and support one another So greatful for the blessings in our life. There is love, faith and above all hope.

Dr. Jeanne Marie (Gina) Baffa is a pediatric cardiologist with 26 years of experience. She attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, completed pediatric residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and completed pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. For the past 21 years, she has been working at the Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where she served as Director of Echocardiography. She... also served as Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship training program, mentoring the next generation of pediatric cardiologists. She retired from Nemours in December 2018 but continues to teach at Nemours and to participate in research. A MESSAGE FROM DR. BAFFA: What I'm Passionate About I am passionate about helping children, teens and young adults with heart issues. I enjoy helping parents fully understand their child’s heart condition, often drawing diagrams to help explain the heart anatomy and blood flow. It is just as important for me to spend time with my teen and young adult patients to educate them about their heart condition and to empower them to be involved in their own health care. I believe strongly that physical activity and a healthy diet, rich in whole fruits and vegetables, is the best medicine. I am an avid practitioner of yoga and a certified yoga instructor. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Devyani Chowdhury and her dedicated team, who demonstrate a deep commitment to providing superior care for their patients. #pediatriccardiology #cardiologycareforchildren #drginabaffa #drdevyanichowdhury
