Kathy L. (Starkweather) McMullen, age 73, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born on April 7, 1947 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Wesley H. Starkweather and the late Kathryn (Emmick) Starkweather. She was married to the late Scott E. McMullen and had worked for Taynton Freight System for many years. Kathy is survived by her father: Wesley Starkweather of Wellsboro, PA, three sons: David Graham of Louisville, KY, Darren (Dina) Graham of South Lyon, MI, Daniel Graham of Williamsport, PA, brother: William (Lisa) Starkweather of Mansfield, PA, sister: Jeanette (Emery) Frome of Trout Run, PA and 5 grandchildren. Virginia R. (Starkweather) Williammee, age 90, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born on May 20, 1930 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of the late Alvin S. and Lucretia (Canedy) Starkweather and was the wife of the late Arthur W. Williammee. Virginia worked for Mergenthaler for 25 years. She was a member of the Arnot Sportsman’s Club, Hillside Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed bowling. She is survived by two sons: James Williammee of Wellsboro, PA, Donald (Bonnie) Williammee of Harrison Valley, PA, daughter: Virginia Ginger Decker of Wellsboro, PA, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Marilyn E. (Quartz) Lapps, age 79, of Mansfield, PA, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was born on March 29, 1941 in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of the late George and Ruth (Lortie) Quartz and was the wife of the late Dr. A. Vernon Lapps. Marilyn was employed for over 30 years at Mansfield University. She volunteered for many organizations, including the Mansfield Free Public Library, Santa’s Gift Bag, and Goodies for Our Troops. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and tra...veling. Marilyn is survived by a daughter and fiancé, Amy Ruth Bryan and Adam Gundy of Lock Haven, a sister, Carolyn Gosier of Watertown, NY, a sister-in-law, Beverly Quartz of Pulaski, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Charles E. Carleton, age 96, of Holiday, PA, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born on July 13, 1924 in Hammond, PA a son of the late James J. and Ethel M. (Stermer) Carleton. Charles was married for 66 years to R. Marie (Stevens) Carleton and was retired from Corning Glass Works, Wellsboro, PA after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Middlebury Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
