This is my husband, Scott. He designed and made our LFL from an old, oak, whiskey barrel. We were pretty early on the scene, #6379. I originally listened to an ...interview with Todd Bol on NPR, March 2012, about the movement and was hooked on the idea. My husband caught my enthusiasm and set about making a unique and special Library for our community. Todd Bol, the creator of the Little Free Library movement, even called us to ask about the design and how we managed to keep the barrel intact while cutting in the door. Sadly my husband passed on June 7 due to a medication error made by his doctor. But I just wanted to share a little bit of the story of Little Free Library 6379 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. I am happy to say that I am not moving and I will be continuing to keep LFL 6379 open and stocked in my husband's memory. Be safe my friends and keep on keeping on.
