Very Important Update Regarding Trick-Or-Treat Night...

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through LifeLink The pandemic had pushed first responders to the brink;... The rigs were all checked with exquisite care, Though no one hoped they’d be used during this holiday fare; The medics were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of ALS algorithms danced in their heads; And Chief 2500 in his job sweat and faded watch cap, Had just settled down in the station for a long winter's nap, When out on College Avenue there arose such a clatter, With nary a tone he sprang straight up to see what was the matter. Away to the window he flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. 25-3’s scene lighting on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below, When, what to his wondering eyes should appear, But a festively lit MICU, and elves in EMT gear, With a third with the jump kit, so lively and quick, Chief knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, EMT 25-94 and Medic 25-2! You take this call you know just what to do! To the top of the roof, down the crew bunkroom hall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the main station in the MICU they flew, With the jump kit and O2 at the ready, and a Billing Form too. And then, in a twinkling, Chief heard on the ceiling The Lucas a thumping and bumping and squealing. As 2500 drew in his head, and was turning around, Down the hallway St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was properly dressed, PPE and BSI from his head to his foot, And his gear was resplendent, not tarnished with ashes or soot; A monitor he had hastily flung on his back, As he ambled down the hallway searching every crevice and crack. A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave the Chief to know he had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, Declared the scene safe; then turned with a jerk, And laying a gloved finger aside of his mask, And giving a nod, efficiently completed his holiday task; He sprang to the MICU, to his team gave a whistle, And away to the next call they flew like the down of a thistle. But Chief 2500 heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all our LifeLink Brothers and Sisters, and to all a good-night."

Happy Holidays to the residents at The House of Care! Each year, our staff and volunteers come together to collect gifts for each resident. This year we had an overwhelming response, and were able to gift some gift cards to the house as well.
