The Chambersburg YMCA collected 510 mittens, gloves, scarves and hats for the students in the Chambersburg Area School District K-12. Homeless Matters is assisting the YMCA by delivering collected items to the students. The partnership with the YMCA is an example of community members working together.
The Chambersburg Memorial YMCA and Chambersburg Grocery Outlet are partnering with Homeless Matters to help K-12 students in need of scarves, hats and gloves. Please see complete info on the flier below. The community is encouraged to help!!
With the help of Jake Fulton and staff from Grocery Outlet , Homeless Matters delivered 150 meal bags to Benjamin Chambers and Stevens elementary schools for the upcoming Thanksgiving break. Thank you for all those who assisted with our mission today to help the students in our community.

Today Homeless Matters expressed their thank you for the outstanding relationship with Grocery Outlet! Grocery Outlet has been assisting Homeless Matters during this pandemic with food items to serve our community . In the upcoming weeks our partnership will be continuing to serve others in need during the holiday season . Thank you for your continued support !
FORCHAMBERSBURG was an overwhelming success today! Homeless Matters distributed 280 bags of groceries. The Hedge Family donated 80 additional bags of freshly harvested potatoes for the event. Many wonderful volunteers and church members assisted with the distribution. Look for more partnerships with FORCHAMBERSBURG to assist families in need in our community. Thank you to our partner Grocery Outlet for the selection of food and continued support!
