Children's Choir of Lancaster

The American Boychoir is coming to Lancaster on April 28th!

I had a great time meeting some of the CCL singers and parents at the Children's Choir of Lancaster "Meet and Greet" event tonight at Long's Park. Lots of great music in the works for the coming year. I am looking forward to getting started in September! Georgia Katsourides has recently been named the conductor of the Prelude Choir of Children's Choir of Lancaster. Georgia is a Bucks County native and attended Millersville University where she earned her BSE in Music Education, with a focus in voice and a minor in Spanish. Georgia works at James Buchanan Elementary School in the School District of Lancaster as the classroom, vocal and instrumental music teacher. She is currently working on her Master's degree in Kodály Musi...c Education through Loyola University Maryland. In 2012, Georgia was the proud recipient of the Teacher Impact Award presented by WGAL and the Rotary District 7390. Georgia has sung in various community choirs in the area, including the former Lancaster City Choir and the current Music For Everyone Community Chorus. Georgia is excited to be working with a new group of singers, as it's always been her passion to sing and perform with choirs.

David F. Sheaffer was recently appointed as Artistic Director and Lyric Choir Conductor of the Children's Choir of Lancaster. Previously, Mr. Sheaffer had served as Classroom Music Educator and Choral Director for the Eastern Lebanon County Middle School since 1976 until his retirement in June, 2012.
