Reminder that our Food Distribution is today! Downtown Y, 31 West 10th Street beginning at 3:30pm Eastside Y, 2101 Nagle Road beginning at 3:30pm... We are providing free healthy grab & go food boxes with fresh ingredients including milk, fruit and veggies for kids 2-18. Food boxes will include enough food for 5 complete meals and will include instructions for preparation and storage. No income or Y membership is required. This program is free and open to the public. Parents of children 18 & under must provide the child’s legal name and age for each box. Adults, with no children, also are welcome to take a box through June 30; an adult must be present for each box. Food boxes are limited and will be distributed first come, first serve. Face masks required.

As of November 2 in Erie County: 47,134 mail-in ballots have been returned of the 57,461 that were requested. That’s an 82% rate of return. We have a little over 10,000 ballots that have not been returned in Erie County. If you have a mail-in ballot, do NOT mail it at this point. IT WILL NOT ARRIVE IN TIME TO BE COUNTED. As of right now, the only remaining options are: 1). Put your mail-in ballot in the drop box in front of the Erie County Court House at 140 W 6th Street by 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 3. A family member or close friend can do this for you. Be sure to enclose and seal your ballot in the secrecy envelope before putting it in the mailing envelope. And be sure to sign and date your mailing envelope. If either of these steps are not followed, your ballot will not be counted. 2). We would like to remind all residents of this year’s trick-or-treating hours which are from 6 to 8 p.m. We would also like to encourage everyone to abide by the Erie County Department of Health and CDC guidelines. According to the Erie County Health Department’s website, Erie County COVID-19 cases continue to grow. We currently have the highest number of active cases our area has had, ever. As a reminder, Winter Parking Regulations are in effect on weekdays from Monday, November 2 until Wednesday, March 31, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking regulations will not be enforced on the weekends unless a big snow storm is forecast for the City on Saturday or Sunday. If that happens, we will make a declaration and notify the media that odd-even parking continues that weekend. Please pay attention to where you are parking and obey the signs in each neighborhood.
