The number 1 cause of death for emergency responders is cardiac arrest. Due to this, the Cochranville Fire Company has, for a few years, been investing in the health and fitness of our members. The CFC gym has just gotten a face lift. Thanks to the group that put in so much hard work to finish the project. ... The "Beast Room" is open to our members and their families as a thank you to for their dedication and service.

Move Over, It's the Law. Move Over 2020! Out with the old and in with the new. On April 27, 2021 the Pennsylvania Steer Clear Law becomes the Move Over Law, this enhancement not only changes the name of the law from Steer Clear to Move Over but doubles the fines for failing to Move Over for an emergency responder on the side of the road or an incident scene with flashing lights activated, this includes towing, fire, police, fire police and highway workers. You must also move ...over for a disabled vehicle along the side of the road with at least two warning devices present, 4-way flashers, flares or cones or a traffic control sign. If you cannot Move Over you need to Slow Down to not more than 20 miles per hour below the posted speed limit. Don't be a D Driver behind the wheel, Drunk, Drugged, Drowsy, Distracted, Dangerous, Disgruntled or just plain Dumb and pull your head out of your apps! No email, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram or Twitter when you are behind the wheel. In addition to the increased fines, two points will also be added to your driving record and additional fines will be enforced for injuring or killing an emergency responder or operator of a disabled vehicle.
