March, 2020 COD faced COVID as did every church worldwide. With the Lord’s help, we were able to continue on in worship to our God through music and song. Our Music Ministry has been flexible, patient, and sacrificing. During the beginning weeks of the pandemic, musicians collaborated from separate homes in order to record music. More recently they ministered outdoors despite the sun, heat, wind, and need to move indoors last minute, if needed. We’re thankful for their reso...lve to make it work in uncertain circumstances, indoors or out. Additionally, we’ve been greatly blessed by our Audio Visual crew. They’ve been hard working, agile, and willing to take on new challenges week by week. They moved large amounts of equipment in and out of the building month after month. They simultaneously broadcast both an indoor version and outdoor version of the service to accommodate both people who felt safer outdoors and also those who needed to be inside in air conditioning. We thank God for the spirit of selflessness and unity we’ve experienced. Our God is good! He is our Light and guide! We look forward to moving our morning worship indoors beginning this Sunday, October 4. We trust our Lord will continue to provide for, teach, and strengthen His church. See more
