What people often fail to realize is that hard is hard. Hard is different for each of us. Your current level dictates what is needed for something to be considered hard - but make no mistake, at the end of the workout we are all feeling the same thing. Hard is hard no matter how different it looks from person to person. And doing something difficult is unifying. As you sit there after a tough workout you look around at your classmates with respect and appreciation for going through that experience with you, even if their hard was different from yours.
To become better you must focus. You must dedicate yourself to the hard work. You must push when you want to stop. You must show up when you feel like staying home. You must always remember why you’re fighting.
2021, we’ve got big plans for you.
I hope you’re fighting to create a life where you’re excited to go to bed on Sunday night. Excited to wake up on Monday morning to the opportunity to make changes, decisions, and actions that move you closer and closer to the life you want. Alright, let’s have a little fun with this We’re giving out a gift certificate to a local restaurant to the person who accurately guesses the amount of snow this storm will dump. The official snow measurement will come from the snow on top of the table on our deck at the conclusion of the storm Thursday (we live 2 miles outside of Honesdale....for you scientific people). ... Rules: Your guess must be made by midnight Wednesday. We will measure the snow to the nearest 1/4 inch. All guesses must be in 1/4 increments Tie breaker = first person who logged that guess. One guess per person. Good luck & safe shoveling

We take the health and safety of our members and community seriously, and one way keep members safe is by ensuring an abundance of fresh air exchange during their workout. We are able to do this by the fantastic set up of our main gym space. In the picture you see here you can see our large wall vents that cover the entire wall of our space (5 wall vents in total). You can also see our commercial garage door opening and an arrow pointing to our ceiling exhaust fan, which suck...s air up and out - creating a fast & strong exchange of fresh air in the room). What is not pictured is the 3 additional outside doors that can be opened to complete this total air exchange situation when needed. A few weeks ago we installed a co2 monitor, which provides us with accurate feedback we use to adjust air flow class-by-class to ensure the safest situations possible. How does it work? When people breathe they exhale co2 - the more people that are in a room and the longer they are in that room, co2 levels rise - creating a concentration (not good in terms of Covid transmission). Here at The Garage our main gym space has 9 fresh air openings (garage door, 5’ wall vents, outside doors), so we are able to easily create a ton of fresh air flow into our gym space while members are working out (and now accurately monitor it). This constant exchange of fresh air (and sucking old air up and out through our ceiling exhaust fan) keeps the air in our gym diluted and clean. This helps us provide a safe environment where members can feel confident they are breathing in fresh air while putting in the work to keep themselves strong, healthy, and sane . This is just one layer of our safety plan that we implement every day. We are so thankful to our members for continuing to support us during this trying year

We love mixing it up. Becoming strong means something different to each person. We use a mix of equipment, dumbbells, barbells, body weight to create change within our body and become stronger. We take a few minutes at the end of class and focus on our breathing. Big belly breaths, in and out of the nose. Some find this to be calming and a perfect balance to the high intensity of the workouts. ...

Coach Amy Rocks In addition to her love for all things running and heavy metal, Amy is one of the most caring, compassionate and loving humans you will ever meet.
