Comtec Mfg., Inc. would like to congratulate Charity Poage for her 25 years of service to our company! Charity first started as an assembly operator and then went to the Molding department to be an operator. With her hard work and dedication, she was transferred to the quality department and became a quality tech. A few years ago, she advanced in the quality department and has become our Metrologist. This is the position she holds as of today. Thank you Charity for your hard work and dedication to our company!

Employee Lunch! This week we provided our employees with lunch platters from Subway! We know this year has not been easy, but management wanted to recognize that we have the best employees! We are all working on taking personal responsibility for our actions, as well as, the due diligence and teamwork necessary to meet our customer expectations especially over the last few weeks! We are so thankful that we wanted to give them a small token of appreciation by providing lunch along with a 1 hour lunch break to spend with their coworkers! Thank you to our great employees and to Subway for the delicious subs!!!

Comtec Mfg., Inc. would like to congratulate Darin Swanson for 25 years of service to our company!! Darin started 25 years ago as a Molding Operator. With hard work and dedication, he has held other positions such as 2nd shift Supervisor and the last 20 plus years have been spent being a Die Setter. He is still a back up Supervisor when we need him. We thank you for your continued support and dedication to our company!!!

Comtec Mfg., Inc. was once again a sponsor for the BEST Robotics competition at Penn State Dubois. BEST is Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology. The competition took place on Saturday, October 19th. BEST provides all necessary parts and equipment for teams to build a robot that they can use to run a course and perform specified tasks. The students have 6 weeks to build the robot. On the day of the contest, all teams run the course, competing for the best times ...and course completion. Students, from different schools, participated and learned to analyze and solve problems utilizing the Engineering Design Process, which helps them develop technological literacy skills. The goal is to better prepare these students for further education and careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. We recently had the opportunity to be a part of Manufacturing Days. On the left, is our Apprentice Tool Design Engineer working our table during the Penn State Dubois Manufacturing Day event. High school kids from different areas were able to ask us questions about our company and about the powder metal processes. The pictures on the right show the 7th graders from the SMASD learning about the different products we make and what they are used for from our COO. The students were also given a tour of our facility and upon completion of the event, they were each given a Comtec Manufacturing Day sticker.
