One common effect of some of these agents is blurred vision. About 1 in 5 Americans use antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications. With that large percentage, ophthalmologists probably encounter patients daily who use or have used these medications. Plus, living with a chronic eye condition like glaucoma or wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) has been associated with depressionhence why another group of patients seen by ophthalmologists may turn to antidepressants.

Episcleritis: It is a common condition. Episcleritis presents as a relatively asymptomatic acute onset redness in one or both eyes.

To prevent styes: 1. Wash your hands with soap and water before touching your eyes. 2. Clean the eyelids with a Q-tip dipped in warm water and mild soap or shampoo. 3. Remove eye makeup every night before sleeping. 4. Avoid sharing towels with someone who has a stye.... & please never pop or squeeze a stye!

What is an Optical Illusion? Optical Illusions can use color, light and patterns to create images that can be deceptive or misleading to our brains. The information gathered by the eye is processed by the brain, creating a perception that in reality, does not match the true image.

Astigmatism is a common vision condition that causes blurred vision. It occurs when the cornea (the clear front cover of the eye) is irregularly shaped or sometimes because of the curvature of the lens inside the eye. An irregularly shaped cornea or lens prevents light from focusing properly on the retina, the light-sensitive surface at the back of the eye. As a result, vision becomes blurred at any distance. This can lead to eye discomfort and headaches.
