We've been working on a fun project at Cornerstone for preservation class judging. It's not every day that you see a car from 1963 that's 57 years old and it has the original Pirelli tires on it!
This beautiful 275 GTB/4 is getting some mechanical work before the Greenbrier Concours this weekend.
1956 Studebaker President dash and instrument cluster is coming together.
The F-Code 1957 Thunderbird is getting some color before we mount the body to the restored chassis. There are a lot of steps before paint even in a trunk that will get mostly covered with interior. Between metal work, body work, primer, blocking, wet-sanding, spraying factory undercoating, sealing, masking, and painting!
Cornerstone took home a few awards from Saturday's AACA Grand National meet in Gettysburg, PA. Two senior first place grand nationals and a repeat first senior grand national.
Finally a car show! AACA Grand National Gettysburg, PA.
Here are some photos of a few projects we have been working on. We are thankful for the work and also a climate controlled shop!
This very rare one-off Murphy bodied Hudson Eight Roadster just arrived at Cornerstone. This particular car was designed by Frank Spring and Frank Hershey from Hudson. Murphy coach builders in Pasadena, California built this body for the Paris salon auto show where it was displayed. As the story goes, it was found in a building behind an old Hudson dealership in NY and subsequently restored. Here is a picture of it at the Paris auto show among Morris and other motorcars.
We just finished the mechanical work on this beautiful fuel injected 1957 Corvette. T-10 transmission rebuild, axle seals, starter rebuild, and fuel gauge/sending unit calibration.
We are excited to announce the completion of this very rare 1930 Ruxton Roadster. One of only twelve Roadsters built and one of less then 100 Ruxton's made all together. It's now off to the upholstery shop.
The Ruxton's side mounts received hard covers with engraved Ruxton mirrors today.
Putting some final touches on the Ruxton.
Pretty colors going on this Studebaker truck!
