At 2:03am Rescue 16 was dispatched with Eddington Fire Company - Station 28for an apartment fire at Village Square Apartments. R16 dropped in and went in service with an 1-3/4 attack line. Ladder 65 arrived as the first in truck company, searched the fire apartment and laddered the building. Engine 11 searched the 2nd floor apartment with additional manpower from R16. All searches came up negative and the occupants evacuated the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Bensalem Fire Rescue. Santa Announcement!! The Santa escort this year will be slightly different than in the past. Santa will start making his ride on December 20th at 12pm. Due to the covid-19 pandemic we will not be tossing candy this year. Santa will still be riding the truck throughout the Cornwells local. However he will not be making stops. Santa will be waving to all as he drives by. There will not be a posted schedule since our main focus is responding to emergencies. So listen for the sirens.

Our Drive-thru Toy Drop Off is next Saturday December 12th from 10am until 1pm at the Bensalem Township Municipal Complex 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem, PA

Today 6 members participated in some torch training. Rescue 16 carries a Petrogen PCS torch, This torch allows us to cut metal from 1/4 to 4 thick with a quick set up time.
