Starting August 2nd @ 11am I will be running a 6 week force free group on general muzzle training and handling. This will run until September 6th. This group is for everyone to have a safe space to work on muzzle training for vet visits, unexpected emergencies, and handling for dogs with stranger danger and are anxious at vet visits. Registration is required. Cost is $30/session sliding scale is available. Muzzle not included. This group is open to anyone but especially dogs that are anxious or reactive especially at the vet. Looking for bottle feeding fosters!!!!

Mama Dakotas 10th Birthday was July 31st, but with me being so sick unable to do much on my days off we didn't get to celebrate. Well today I celebrate this deeply beautiful creature with such a beautiful nurturing heart, so resilient, a teacher, my soul, my best friend, my emotional support and my rock. What she does for other dogs who are healing or rehabbing is just unparalleled and i could never teach her those things. Her instincts, ability to balance packs of dogs, to teach fosters snd humans that love is the best part of all in life. I love her so much more every day and all she does for me. Its hard to believe this speed demon, high energy , high jumping dog is 10 years old but she is. Made her a special cake with strawberries which are her favorite Happy birthday Mama Dakota!!!!

Found male dog red collar and leash anyone recognize? Location 49th and Pentridge. Approximately 35lbs. Foster needed Update:Update: this sweet boy is not chipped and we haven’t found the owner yet. He’s been reported to ACCT as a found dog. Hoping someone might be interested in emergency/temp fostering him, otherwise he’ll have to go to ACCT. He’s super cute & friendly He’s sweet & playful... mostly gentle when playing but gets a tad mouthy/nibbles a bit when getting extra excited...loves to walk and really likes humans! Has what looks like some mange going on and missing some teeth. Definitely wants to go in the house (haven’t been able to bring him in per my small pup & cat) and loves being around people. Seems interested friendly & non aggressive towards other dogs thus far!

For those of you exploring muzzles. The most common muzzle is the baskerville muzzle. here is the sizing chart. the dog should have at least one finger distance from nose to end of the muzzle. If your dog has extra large jowels or is a greyhound/sight hound there is a different style i would recommend. Please reach out if you need that information. Reminder Fear Free/Force Free muzzle training group/ workshops start August 2nd as well as work on fear free handling.
