Processing the first harvest of the season. My son got a very nice, large Doe the other day. So thankful for the venison to feed our family this winter. Canning saves me freezer space, is more economical and wallet friendly. I like the fact it's a time-saver too, it's ready to go, right out of the jar. Heat and serve, add to soups, stews, casseroles, etc... in an emergency, pop the jar, heat it on the woodstove. Canned venison makes the absolute BEST Stroganoff!

Goat at work! Hansel, our tri-color pigmy goat is excellent at clearing the garden weeds away prior to the first tilling for the gardening season. This makes it much easier to turn the soil for planting and a lot less work for us. There's virtually nothing he won't eat. Poison ivy, thorns, mile-a-minute, multiflorarose, thistles, etc... He eats & eats and leaves behind some wonderful nature-made, nutrient rich fertilizer that'll mix right in and nourish the garden veggies all season.

Mushrooms!!!! One of our favorite foods, are mushrooms. These are the neatest looking, great tasting, mild, fresh enoki mushrooms... a.k.a. spaghetti mushrooms. Low calorie, no fat, no sodium, low carb, good fiber, good protein. Good values of Vit C, Iron, Phosphorus, copper, Niacin, Magnesium, Zinc, B2 & Thiamine! Eat 'em up! #enoki #mushrooms #fresh #fungus #lovefungi Thank you so much @davidclanin & @spiv2009
