Clarks Valley Zion EC Church 10.12.2020

Today is the day we have been looking forward to for the last nine months. We are finally at the close of a challenging year. 2020 has been quite the experience. I pray that all the upheaval, heartache and pain that has taken place in 2020 has taught you some valuable lessons that will help you grow more mature in your faith. One of the positives that has come out of the unique circumstances of 2020 is that I have been pushed to explore new ways of ministering to you remotely.... Bend-A-Knee and A Voice of Hope are the result of this exploration. I plan to continue these avenues of ministry and I pray that you will take advantage of these opportunities personally and that you will share these opportunities with others. Bend-A-Knee was designed to bring us together as the body of Christ even if we are not together physically. Please consider pausing at noon on Thursdays, where ever you are, and Bend-A-Knee in prayer. It is strengthening to know that at that moment you have joined together with your brothers & sisters in Christ at CVZ to enter God's throne room of grace. God loves to hear from His children and I believe He is blessed when we join together as one in prayer. Our physical proximity is not necessary for us to unite in praise & petition to God. A Voice of Hope, a daily Scriptural devotional, is available by calling the office at CVZ (717) 921-8153. The devotional changes daily. I post the devotional at night for the next day so you can call as early as you want, for you early birds. My desire in establishing this ministry was to reach out to those who do not have the capability to access the other avenues of ministry we provide. Please take advantage of this ministry. I have less than two minutes to record the message. It will take you less time to listen to the devotional than what it has taken you to read this email, providing you have continued to keep reading, congratulations to those who have endured my ramblings. Please pass the phone number along to anyone who you feel may benefit from this ministry. I pray blessings to you in the new year. Although it is a cliché may you be encouraged by the promise: "I may not know what the future holds but I know who holds the future." May you rest in the shelter of God's arms throughout 2021. Stay connected to God & to others God's Peace Pastor Mike

Welcome to Thursday, that just happens to be Christmas Eve day. If ever there was a day to pause and Bend-A-Knee in prayer at noon, today is the day. May it help you to bring Christmas into focus. I have been assured that our online Christmas Eve Service will be posted to our website (cvzec.org) for you to view at approximately 5:00pm, so you can sit down with family and friends and observe the service anytime after 5. Please share the link with others or arrange for those w...ho don't have the technological capability to view the service access through your capability to do so. I want to say a big thank you to Steve Wevodau for his tremendous effort it videoing and splicing the segments together. And also a thank you to Lenny Kuntz for assisting Steve splice everything together. I like you, have not seen the video. I am excited and anxious to see the final video. This is our first attempt at videoing a service. I pray that you will be blessed and that the goal of creating a family atmosphere will be apparent through our efforts. Thank you to all who participated in the service for using your God given talent for God's glory. If you have the availability to access our face-book page at CVZ please consider posting some photo's of your Christmas tree or of anything relating to your Christmas celebration. The photo's will allow for the body of Christ to connect during this difficult time of separation. I want to wish all of you a blessed Christmas filled with all the joy of Christ and all that has been provided through the gift given of the Eternal Son entering this world on our behalf. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Stay connected to God & to others God's Peace Pastor Mike
