Thanks to Patricia Serio for the link!
We look for ramp reproduction for sustainability above all else. This photo of 1 square foot from the ramp fields shows all of the stages of ramps from first year seedlings to the mature harvestable plants which produced the seeds.
First ramps emerging among the leaf litter and garlic mustard rosettes.
Skunk Cabbage spathes are out and about -- a sure sign of spring. Maple season is over and the snow drops, crocuses and daffodils are all showing or emerging. Needless to say, it’s hard to predict when the first harvest and deliveries will happen but we will keep you updated as the season progresses. Please let us know if you are interested in ramps this year and in other wild edibles such as fiddlehead ferns, stinging and wood nettles and morels and we’ll add you to the del...ivery schedule. Once again, this year we will offer a 10% discount on advance multi-week orders of ramps and other products.
We fulfilled our first Japanese Knotweed order for processing into herbal supplements and have smaller rhizomes left over. Let us know if you’re interested in buying fresh or dried rhizomes for processing and we’ll provide pricing.
First ramps harvest this weekend and first deliveries 4/30. Even the fiddleheads are starting to emerge!
