New team member Tom Keane getting familiar with the EM31 in Harrison, NJ. We were helping the client identify sub-surface structures for demolition and special handling in preparation for the build-out of a condominium community. Team leader Mike Mesaros is working the EM61. The combination of these instruments allows discrimination between concrete structures, voids, fill areas and metal objects such as USTs and underground piping or orphan trenches.
Setting up for borehole logging with a suite of tools including acoustic and optical televiewers.
Another nice UMO by Mike M. We started out with a underground utility plan that turned out to be mostly inaccurate. Delta personnel found the actual underground utility locations and mapped them for future reference. It illustrates that many underground utility maps are grossly inaccurate and can create an unsafe situation when relied on without verification.
Setting up a switch box and extension cables on a 3,300 foot resistivity line. Several of these long lines were run through rough terrain to attain an exploration depth of 500 feet below ground surface.
Winter is finally over and things are definitely picking up. This is a utility mark-out mapped recently as part of a larger project that included EM methods. A lot of utilities at this industrial location.
Nice borehole log showing response of caliper, heat pulse flow meter, acoustic and optical televiewers, along with client requested fracture stat package. Note change in lithology and hydrogeologic conditions at bottom of display,
Looking for voids in a containment area at a tank farm.

It's a beautiful day for the annual Delta day at the lake!
Between cooking out, kayaking and hiking, a fun time was had by all at Delta's summer celebration at Mauch Chunk Lake.
Pounding out a Seismic Line on one of the hottest days of the year (98F). A day of good exercise and sweat! Worked hard all day, used a lot of water and breaks to eliminate heat stroke concerns. My question is why only one guy with the sledge hammer but three guys monitoring the software output?
