Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce Seeks Award Nominations: The Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the following award ...categories: Community Service Award - Individual Community Service Award - Group Distinguished Citizen Beautification Award There are two Community Service Awards each year, one given to a group and the other to an individual. The Chamber encourages everyone to take a look around their neighborhood, or at the groups they belong to, in order that all those who give of their talent and time have the chance to be recognized for their efforts. The Distinguished Citizen is awarded to a person who exemplifies leadership within the community and often is an example of improving quality of life for an entity here. They are individuals who make this area a better place to live and work. The Beautification Award is often the category that receives the most nominations and is the most difficult to choose. That just shows how many wonderful things we have going on in our area. The fact that there are so many noticeable renovations being done is a marvelous statement about our community. People have pride in their businesses and want it to show. It is very important that the public understands that they do not have to be chamber members in order to nominate for any category, nor do the winners need to be members of The Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce. Nomination forms are available online at www.connellsvillechamber.org
