HIGH ALERT! DO NOT DRIVE unless it is an absolute emergency at this time. The road conditions are treacherous and dangerous to all. Emergency traffic only has been announced by Chester County Dispatch. Nearly all main roads have been closed due to hazardous conditions. If you have an emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
The ETPD would like to thank Deana Wang, her family, and the local community members that came together to donate gifts to the department today. We are extremely grateful for all of the support and generosity we have received and continue to receive.
New look for the Easttown Police! This week we rolled out our new uniforms and patches. The material is much lighter and more durable, and the patch commemorates our history. By utilizing drug forfeiture money, we were able to purchase these new uniforms at no additional cost to the taxpayers.

Yesterday’s historic peaceful protest March was an amazing and emotional event. Nearly a thousand people of all ages, races, and sexes came together to March a 5.5 mile route down Lancaster Avenue through Delaware and Chester Counties and three different jurisdictions. No arrests, no damaged properties, and no injuries to civilians or police. Truly, a peaceful demonstration organized by the Main Line for Black Lives. Thank you to all of the organizers and participants for bei...ng an excellent example of civility. We’d also like to thank the surrounding residents, commuters, and businesses for their support and patience along the route. Special thanks to the Radnor Twp. Police Department, the Tredyffrin Twp. Police Department, Septa and Amtrak Police, Radnor Fire Company, Berwyn Fire Company, and the Paoli Fire Company for coming together to keep everyone safe. A successful community is about action and a feeling of fellowship with others as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. We are all in this together to help develop positive change and communities.
Easttown Township has been notified of a planned peace walk which will pass through Easttown Township along Route 30 / Lancaster Avenue on Thursday, June 4, 2020. The Easttown Township Police Department finds the actions that occurred in Minneapolis to be unconscionable, and our officers and Police Department leaders are equally horrified by the events that led to the senseless death of Mr. George Floyd. The members of the Easttown Police Department hold ourselves to the highest standards in Law Enforcement. We work hard each day to ensure that every individual we come in contact with is treated with professionalism, dignity, and the ...utmost respect regardless of a person’s race, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender expression, national orientation, or religion. We take pride in serving the Easttown Community and wish to offer our sympathies to the Floyd family and the citizens of Minneapolis. It is our sincere hope that we can come together as a community to stop senseless violence of any nature and begin the healing process that our country so desperately needs. As always, we will be here for you when we are needed.
A few Easttown Officers helped Amazon recently when Officer Brian Boyd located numerous missing packages in the woods. Thanks to Sgt. LaRue and Officers Boyd, Oreskovich, and Malason, these missing packages were delivered to their rightful homes and a lot of happy residents.
Law enforcement officials have the same mission as health care providers -- to save lives. The ETPD would like to remind everyone that if you must drive: buckle up, follow the posted speed limits, and look out for pedestrians and bicyclists. Due to the Stay-At-Home Order, there are many more people walking and bicycling. It is imperative that drivers take every precaution to ensure the safety of others. Thank you for all that you do!
