Eddystone Ladies Auxiliary

On Saturday 16 May 2020 @ 0910hrs company dispatched to the 1530 Chester Pike (Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen), Eddystone Borough for a structure fire. Engine 12-2 ...under the command of Chief T. Burke Jr. responded. On arrival heavy smoke condition at the rear of the building by the drive thru call station. All employees were self evacuated from the building, Chief Burke Jr. established command. Engine 12-2 crew went inservice with 1.75 line and started an attack from the exterior rear, pushing into the building after forcing entry. Squirt 67 arrived and dropped supply line, laying in and supplying Engine12-2. Ladders 48 and 07 posted up on the side of the building, laddered the roof and sent crews to conduct ventilation operations. RIT 08/43 on location to provide rapid intervention if needed. Fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control in less than 30min, overhaul was conducted to check for hotspots. Incident Command requested Eddystone Borough Fire Marshal R. Gliem Jr. contacted, who made the response. No injuries to civilians or fire/police personnel reported at this time. Companies cleaned up and secured from the scene. Incident under investigation by Fire Marshal R. Gliem Jr. and Eddystone Police Department.
