The Emig Mansion

Have you ever heard that before Every New Beginning, there was an ending?. For some time now I've been thinking about how to write this post, our final post as the owners of the Emig Mansion Bed and Breakfast. Lori and I have been Blessed over the past seven years to own and live in The Emig Mansion. It had never been our life long dream to be BnB owners but after spending a lot of nights visiting Gettysburg we thought the BnB life would be a great experience for us so wit...h some searching and crazy luck, we found The Emig Mansion. Truth is it found us!. So we ventured forth with a 5 year plan to restore the old house and try being owners of a Bed and Breakfast. The experience has been AMAZING, for multiple reasons. We had the experience few people could ever enjoy meeting wonderful guest from all over the world every week. Made friendships that will last forever. Had the thrill of hosting hundreds of weddings , parties and other events, the happiest moments of peoples lives. We met the best neighbors we've ever had who were always there to help us whenever we needed ANYTHING!. Rescued a few stray animals, mostly cats, but also a few groundhogs, deer and rabbits. Learned that fish have a loving personality. Witnessed a miracle that could only be performed by God!! And I could go on. All to say we had experiences that will last a lifetime. Best however the experience of living in a truly Amazing Home that will not be surpassed in our lifetimes. So when our 5 year plan became 6 years it was time for the next adventure and we were so fortunate to meet the New Owner of our Beloved Home, Ms Lori Bloch. Lori assumed ownership of The Emig Mansion in September and for the past six weeks we have been transitioning all of the things that are involved with running a BnB. Lori is a wonderful sweet lady who shares our love of history and will do an amazing job of making the Emig Mansion a wonderful place to visit . Her plans are to carry on the business and we're sure she will only improve upon what we did while we were there. We pray you give her your support. So our ending gives way to our New Beginning. We want to thank every one of you for the love and support you Blessed us with over these last years. And by the way Tillie says hi and thankyou also.
