I love us #TransDayOfVisibility
One year ago, I stepped out on faith in the midst of a pandemic, with the support of my family, friends, and community behind me. Two years of planning and 365 days of doing later, I’ve provided over 270 sessions of therapy and offered over $1200 in therapy scholarship funding. My practice has grown and deepened in ways that I couldn’t have anticipated and I feel truly blessed to do this work. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me as I realize this vision. I’m r...eady for another year and I hope you will continue to support me Visit www.e2wellness.com/giving to make a donation #e2wellness #mentalhealth #therapy #counseling #telehealth #blacktherapists #philly #newjersey #wellness #anniversary #mentalhealthmatters

My ‘Black Beyond’ group cohort spent the most recent session reflecting on what was evoked by this quote from ‘Undrowned’ and the passage that it comes from. We as Black gender expansive folks often spend so much time trying to avoid rejection or harm that we can forget to also nurture our truth. How can we support ourselves and each other in navigating this struggle? How do we cultivate a holding space for ourselves and each other where our ‘wildness’ can thrive? . .... . #e2wellness #blacktherapists #genderexpansive See more

People living with HIV and AIDS are at significantly higher risk for having a mental health diagnosis. Due to misinformation and social stigma, folks living with HIV/AIDS can experience loss of relationships and family connections leading to social isolation, and discrimination in housing and in the workplace leading to financial and housing insecurity, physical and emotional violence, as well as discrimination in access to medical care and other supportive services. This #W...orldAIDSDay, make a commitment to normalizing discussing HIV/AIDS just as we work to normalize life with other chronic illnesses. More often than not, HIV doesn’t kill people; the stigma and discrimination against folks living with HIV does. . . . #e2wellness #mentalhealth See more
Donate to the E2Wellness Therapy Scholarship Fund for queer +/ trans clients The ongoing support of the community has allowed me to provide reduced fee sessions and emergency funding to multiple queer clients over the last several months, helping them to remain engaged in therapy despite financial challenges due to COVID-19. Racialized groups and ethnic minorities in the US experience unique mental health burdens associated with living in and navigating a society built upon white supremacist ideology. Covert and overt racism functions to not only exacerbate existing mental health challenges, but also to prevent racialized people and ethnic minorities from accessing affirming and culturally-competent mental health care, further compounding these issues. Practitioners in the mental health field ha...ve an ethical responsibility to engage in the ongoing practice of examining and unlearning our own racial biases and practices to ensure that we are delivering the best care to our clients of color. . . . I offer consultation services to businesses looking to improve their practices in order to better meet the needs of clients. Visit e2wellness.com/consultation to learn more and schedule an appointment.
I now have availability for Saturday afternoon sessions. If you live in PA or NJ and are seeking a therapist with weekend availability, visit me website to schedule an initial consultation. e2wellness.com
