Soooo.. I had my colonoscopy done today and chose Dr. Blake on Germantown ave for a few reasons- 1. the second I sat for my consultation last week, I felt like... I was heard and that my body was important to them 2. I did NOT have to go through that awful prep the day before. They gave me the colonic cleanse AND then scoped my intestine. 3. I did not have to be put to sleep, so I was able to drive myself there and back home. 4. I was in at 9, out at 11. The BEST part? My colon is as clean as a whistle with no polyps or cancer found. Why am I sharing all of this? I am trying to get people to shake the fear of getting colonoscopies done as they literally SAVE lives. Me and my happy and empty colon are ready to face another day..

We're inviting you to join our team again this year, so that we can literally save lives together, show our Enon pride, but more importantly help those who need us most. This year we will continue to walk in memory of Reverend James Jackson, who passed suddenly of a heart attack at just 58 years old. Rev. Jackson served as an Associate Pastor with us from 2002-2012 and was loved by all and is dearly missed every day. We also walk for families like Branaya’s. Earlier this year..., Branaya and her family received a blood pressure cuff from the AHA and one morning when Pamela (Branaya’s mom) was checking her mother’s blood pressure, she had the idea to check all of her kids’ blood pressure as well. This blood pressure cuff has helped Branaya and her whole family to stay on top of their health, and they hope you will join the Heart Walk with them to be able to distribute even more home health kits, including blood pressure cuffs, to members of Enon. By joining our team and raising funds, we may help bridge the gap in research funding for women's heart health or put scientific stroke advances in doctor's hands. Every 40 seconds, someone has a heart attack or stroke. We are saving lives! There is still time to be a part of all the FUN. Register for Team Enon today - you won't regret it!
