This afternoon the First Philadelphia Schools Board of Trustees named Deborah Debbie Smith CEO of First Philadelphia. Mrs. Smith is a founding teacher of our school, and most recently served as Director of Curriculum Instruction (ELA) for grades K through 12 at APS. During her time at First Philadelphia, Mrs. Smith led the campus expansion by building relationships with families, students, and staff through responsive leadership. We recognize the importance of strong leader...ship and organization to provide transparency and much-needed resources during this unique school year. As such, Mrs. Smith will oversee administrative staff to ensure communications regarding programming and virtual instruction are timely and effective for both families and faculty. Dear Parents/Guardians, First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter school is able to serve meals for everyone in the community under 18 years old. Feel free to spread the news to your neighbors and ask them to stop by our school to grab free meals for their child(ren) from 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 3pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. You can drive on campus and stop in front of the middle building, where you will see signs and directions. Also, the 2021-22 school year Apply Philly Charter application window will be open on September 25th, 2020! Go to applyphillycharter.org to apply to attend our school! If you know someone who wants their child to attend our school, you can tell them to go to applyphillycharter.org to apply for the 2021-22 school year.

Parents/Guardians Please make sure that your child's email log-in to the laptop ends in @ap-student.org Please do a test run and the IT Help desk will respond.

Parents/Guardians, We are still distributing laptops to parents whose child needs it today, tomorrow and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 noon. Also, parents should call the school's main number 215-743-3100 ext 2221 and speak to Ms. Larry if they are having ANY technical issues.

Dear Parents/Guardians, I'm writing to inform you that we have a Remote Learning Tool page on our website, where you can find tutorials for accessing your child(ren)'s learning resources. Dear Parents and Students, Due to technological challenges, we are going to delay the start of the school year until Tuesday, September 8, 2020. I want to ensure that every student has their laptop and that you and they know how to appropriately access the log-in, and attend class through Google Classroom and Zoom. It is our aim to ensure that all of our students have a successful start to the school year. Dear Parents/Guardians, you must go through Clever portal to access Google Classroom and Zoom. Students must use their school email address to access Zoom and Google accounts. Otherwise, they won’t be allowed in their classrooms.

Dear Parents/Guardians, By now, you should have received an email with your child(ren)’s email and password to log onto the school-issued laptop, their Clever Portal and Focus Student Portal. If you have problems logging in, please reach out to Helpdesk ([email protected]). If you haven’t received your child(ren)’s email and password, please reach out to Victoria Liu ([email protected]). From your child’s Clever Portal, find the FOCUS Student Portal Link and Click on it to log-in! On the next page, please select your child’s email address to be signed into the FOCUS Student Portal.
