Like Positive Hu Bud, the name was arbitrarily settled on. This is nearly the same, except instead if a punch, we start with a chop to the neck. The defender blocks by putting their elbow back and hand up. This is not a real block, we know, but it is part of the drill in order to get to throw real strikes and not actually hurt our training partners. Step two is a parry to transfer the arm to the opposite side, with our now familiar pat down for the third step. Then it's our partner's turn to throw a chop.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY from 5 Dragons Silat!
Technique #4 from the Pentjak - Silat! Enjoy your weekend!
With the difficulty of keeping names straight, this drill has been named and renamed and forgotten until we finally settled on the name Positive Hu Bud. This move is similar to our regular one-two-touch, except instead of a touch we throw in an extra pat down, then punch in order to give the other a person a chance to practice. The goal is to get a feel for the move, rather than rely on your eyes to see what is happening. With practice, you should be able to do it with your eyes closed.
