Fort Halifax Park

Usually the strongest meteor shower of the year, the Geminids Meteor Shower is great to view. The shower occurs from December 4 to 17 with its peak on December ...13-14. It produces up to 120 multicolored meteors per hour. The shower is created by debris from asteroid 3200 Phaethon burning up in Earth's atmosphere. The center, or radiant, of the shower is located just to the northwest of the constellation Gemini found directly above Orion.
