HE’S HOME!!!! Officers found this guy on Madison. VERY high energy. Can we get him back home please? I’m sure he will enjoy his time at the station but he probably misses his family.
Officer Barreiro, Officer Advic, and myself delivered gifts and food to our residents this week. First, I want to thank each and every family and business that donated toys, food, money, and gift cards. I’m humbled to say the least. The residents of Forward Township are incredibly generous. I cannot thank you enough. . I am honored to be your Chief in such a wonderful, loving community. ... I would also like to thank Township Supervisors Dave Magiske, Ron Skrinjorich, and Tom Derosa for supporting these efforts and starting off our donation with toys. And special thanks to Supervisor Magiske for coming up with this idea after our successful Thanksgiving giveback. It has been quite the emotional day for me, that is for sure. Thank you again, this means more to me than you can imagine! *Masks removed for pictures only!
Words can’t express my sorrow for the friends and family of Hunter.
Merry Christmas everyone! Stay safe!
As you all know, I am extremely proud of all of my officers. I have the best group a Chief could ask for. I sincerely mean that. I want to introduce you to one of them. This is Officer Trunzo. I have watched him grown into an incredible man and Officer. He grew up with my own children. I am beyond proud of his accomplishments at such a young age and am honored to have him in my department. If you see Officer Trunzo, please introduce yourself if you do not already know him, ...and welcome him to our department. Chief Stoffer
Attention Residents: The man pictured below is wanted in connection with the shooting of a police officer in the City of McKeesport on 12/20/2020. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the male please call 911. This man is considered to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach and call 911. The males name is Koby Francis.
Our Street Department deserves a special shoutout after the work they put in the past 24 hours straight. They worked tirelessly to ensure our Township roads were safe for us to drive on today. And they continue to do so today! BIG thanks to Harry and Justin!! They always go the extra mile.
All residents please remove vehicles, boats, trailers, from the street. On street parking is NOT permitted in Forward Township and police are towing vehicles that are on the street. Our street department, along with the County, and State, cannot properly clear roadways with vehicles which are parked on the street. This is making it hazardous for you, your neighbors, street department, EMS, and myself and my officers. I just want everyone to be safe. Also if I may add...our street department did a phenomenal job with our township streets...
Be mindful of the weather out there today please! Elizabeth Forward SD will have early dismissals today.
Mark your calendar!! The Forward Township Fire Department will have Santa on their fire truck! Any questions, feel free to contact them! I don’t have any details as this is their event. I’m just sharing to get the word out! They are a great group and I am so happy they are doing this!
Forward Township Christmas Dinner and Toy Drive I need your help!! We are in need of non perishable food items that can be used for Christmas dinners. As well as any new, unwrapped toys for children. ... This will go to local Forward Township families. Donations are being accepted at the FT Municipal building Monday-Thursday 10-5 and Friday from 10-12. Monetary donations should be made out to Forward Township Christmas Program. My supervisors Dave Magiske, Ron Skrinjorich, and Tom Derosa have graciously contributed to the fund to start me off. As have several residents. I am beyond appreciative of all of the support from my supervisors and the residents of Forward Township. I am impressed how our residents always come together to support one another. It warms my heart! If any Forward Township resident finds that they cannot afford their Christmas dinner this year, please reach out to me. Also if you are in need of gifts under the tree for your children, I want you to reach out to me as well. More info can be found in Supervisor Magiske’s community newsletter. This was the pup one of my officers found yesterday and Lisa and her amazing team came and picked this sweet girl up. On Tha...nksgiving day. The Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in Forward Township. At approximately 7:36 pm on September 18, Coun...ty 9-1-1 was notified of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Bunola River Road and Oliver Drive. First responders found a 37-year-old male victim deceased on scene. A 28-year-old female was transported to an area hospital where she died. Homicide detectives initiated an investigation and determined the vehicle was traveling south on Bunola River Road when it crossed the center line, went up a hillside and rolled over multiple times. It is believed speed was a factor in the collision. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
This is why we can’t have nice things...I have removed the post praising one of my officers investigation this weekend. I really appreciate the local support you all gave. Unfortunately, in this day and age, most areas are not as lucky as I am to have the support of their community. I am beyond proud of my officer. He did a great job. I’m all for freedom of speech, but the insensitive comments wishing death on officers will not be tolerated.
On this day... 19 years (September 10th) ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted. #wewillneverforget

Thanks to a super vigilant resident for bringing this to our attention. We always appreciate your eyes and ears! And Kevin even supplied a picture, which I used. Thank you Kevin! There is a tree down on Raccoon Run between Bunola River Rd and Rippel Road.
I have TWO road updates for you from a PennDot. PennDot states that Ella Hollow will be closed starting tomorrow, June 17, 2020 for approximately two weeks for repairs. NO traffic will be able to get through. Residents on Ella Hollow will be able to access their homes from only one direction. From Wise Lane to Roberts Hollow, use Roberts Hollow to exit. From East Monongahela Sportsman Club to Rt 136, use Rt 136 to exit. PennDot has reopened Church Hollow. Currently one lane is still closed but as soon as the paving crew comes back to complete their duties, both lanes will reopen. They estimated they will return in the next 2 weeks.
Keep Dale and his family, both blood and blue, in your prayers please.

Please be careful driving on Williamsport! The road’s surface is deteriorating due to the hot temperatures and heavy traffic. Allegheny County has been notified. This is a county maintained road. I will keep you updated as I hear more info. I have a feeling it’s going to get worse in the next two days with how high the temps will get. Chief Stoffer

***Update on condition and pic of owl in comments! Officer Reagan and I had an eventful day fielding animal calls. From a passerby finding this hurt owl, to another honeybee swarm, to cattle on the roadway. The owl was picked up by the Game Commission to be taken to their rehab facility. Hopefully we will have an update on his/her condition soon and we will pass it along.
Big thank you to Top of The Morning Donuts in Elizabeth Boro for the sweet treat today! The officers and I greatly appreciate it!
Much thanks to Mrs. Smith and the Ish Company at the Elizabeth Forward School District. They surprised us with lunch, thanking us for being essential workers today. I’ve known Mrs Smith for a long time and she is a favorite of my kids as well. Puts her heart and soul into her profession, her students, the district, and the community. Her, along with the Ish Company, is who created our Autism decals for the public to put on their vehicles to make us aware if an occupant inside has special needs we should be aware of.
It’s a beautiful day in Forward Township! I’m out driving around checking on everyone and am amazed by the beauty in our township.
So impressed with Forwards display of showing our support for our class of 2020 seniors! I just drove around the township and was amazed by the number of signs of support! I only took a few pics of the houses where I personally know the families, but saw some many more signs and support! Also if anyone stopped by the high school to see the lights and the seniors names scrolling, it looked fantastic!
It’s Light Up Night for our 2020 Senior class! Let’s see those decorated doors, yards etc...! I will be riding around this evening looking for our Forward Township seniors!
Our new friend Xavier had a birthday today! We were honored to give him a celebratory parade to mark the occasion! Big thanks to Forward Township Volunteer Fire Department and Gallatin Sunnyside Fire Department for coming together to make this happen! I put out a call late last night to the township fire departments and both departments went above and beyond to make this happen! I appreciate you all VERY much!
Check out this AMAZING video by our William Penn kids! I see a lot of familiar faces, both students and teachers alike. I miss you all! This brought tears to my eyes. So proud of all of my WP kiddoes. Chief Stoffer #EFProud #EFStrong ... Click on link below to watch the video! https://www.efsd.net//PA02203653/Centricity/Domain/13/EF%2
