Nitrate report for September 2020

Come out and join in the fun at the FREEBURG FUN FESTIVAL Sept 9-12 from 5-9 pm daily at the Freeburg Carnival Grounds!! There are rides for the kiddos, the BIG... SLIDE for bigger kids too, and plenty of games for all ages!! The food is awesome!! Gotta love that fresh squeezed lemonade, the corn dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy and other fair food available from Penn Valley Shows!! The Freeburg Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary is serving hot dogs, burgers and hot sausage and the firemen are offering fish, chicken fingers and French fries. The Freeburg Boy Scouts will have their ice cream stand open on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as Saturday during the Chicken BBQ pickup (11 am to 1 pm). Why not bring the family for a fun evening out and support some fine local organizations at the same time. See more

Good News for Freeburg PA!

If you missed ours, there is another one scheduled for Oct. 2 & 3 at West Snyder Elementary.

The 2020 Freeburg Fireman's Carnival has officially been cancelled. This has been a hard decision but for the safety of the fire company members and their families, those who help at the carnival, as well as the general public and in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Pennsylvania's governor, the decision was made to cancel. Since the carnival is the company's biggest source of income, a few additional fundraisers will be held for the remainder of the year. There wil...l be a sandwich sale with orders being taken in August and delivery the first week of September. Plans are being made to hold a food trailer event in September. On September 12 there will be a chicken barbecue. A Burger Night (take out only) will be held on October 15 from 5 to 7 pm. Please watch the newspapers and Facebook for updates on all events. Our recycling drop-offs are starting to reopen. Monroe Township is open Monday-Friday 6am-2pm. Spring Township will open Wednesday May 20 and will be open Wedne...sdays 9am-7pm. Starting May18, Franklin Township will open every other Monday and Wednesday dawn to dusk. Keep in mind that the drop-offs will stay open only until their bins fill, after which they will close again until Lycoming County RMS can pull the containers. Safety guidelines are in effect at the drop-offs: Wear a mask, stay 6 feet from each other, and only handle your own materials. Thanks. Tom Gibson See more
