Friel Ortho Friends and Family We miss seeing all of your faces in and around the office, and look forward to the day when things will be back to normal. With the recent surge in COVID cases in Pennsylvania, we want to remind you all of the ongoing restrictions around our office, as mandated by the CDC. ... We need to limit the amount of people in the building at once. We ask that all patients call the office when they arrive in the parking lot to check-in. If we are not ready for the patient at that time, we will call you as soon as the chair is cleaned and ready to go. We ask that all parents/guardians remain in the car while their child is being seen in the office. If we need you during the appointment, we will contact you to come in. Please call to schedule a follow-up appointment after your child is finished, or come inside to schedule in-person. Everyone that enters the office must be wearing a mask or face covering. If your child is anxious about coming in for his/her appointment alone, we ask that only one guardian accompany the patient at a time. Please be assured that we are doing everything that we can to keep our patients, staff, and families safe during this uncertain time. We appreciate your cooperation in this effort.

This past weekend marked my 20th anniversary of being in private practice as an orthodontist. The picture was taken 20 years ago at our graduation ceremony. It went by in a flash! When the calendar turned this past January, I was eager to celebrate 20 years doing what I love with all of you. The world had other ideas, unfortunately . As I reflect on the last 20, I realize how blessed I have been throughout it all. I started with a great mentor and a great staff (most of who...m are still on my team today). I had a great support network with my family and colleagues alike. Last but not least, there are my patients. Throughout the years, I have met so many of you who I’m proud to still call friends! I’ve even had the pleasure of treating some children of my earliest patients. I still love what I do as much as twenty years ago and I still take pride in witnessing the positive changes that occur to anyone undergoing orthodontic care. I’m thankful to each and everyone of you who have made this career so rewarding. Here’s to 20 more . See more

As we SLOWLY and SAFELY re-open, we have had many inquiries. Hopefully this post helps to answer some of the FAQ. 1. We will call you to re-appoint. Please understand that we have hundreds of patients that are in need of some form of checkup. Bear with us. We are triaging every patient. Some have not been seen since January. 2. If you have some something that feels broken, we may ask you to send us a photo so that we can evaluate and advise accordingly. 3. While elective visits ARE permissible, we must continually socially distance as best as possible, so we won’t be able to see as many people, which takes us back to issue #1 again. Hang in there, folks! We miss everyone. We WILL persevere.
