Don't you love the memories and feelings you get from music? Music takes us back in time, brings back memories and feelings from the past. This is one of the many reasons we offer a variety of activities around music. Yesterday we were listening to famous Madrigals of Renaissance Era Composers. Composers like John Bennett, Thomas Morley and Orlando Gibbons. We try to offer a wide variety of music that may be new to some and favorites to others. Music gives a soul to th...e universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. Plato What song brings back memories to you?
Last week we enjoyed watching a church service from the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square with Pastor Daniel Nicewonger who is the son of our residents Dick and Judy Nicewonger.

Did you know? Friends Home in Kennett: A senior community that values simplicity, friendship, and independence. Friends Home, a non-profit organization, is a leader in providing affordable, quality care for older adults. This tradition of hospitality and caring began in 1898, when a group of Quakers living in southern Chester County recognized the need for a residence for the elderly members of their communities. The Home began in a rented house on West Linden Street in Kennett Square. Two years later, in July 1900, the Eaton Academy property (our current location) was purchased, remodeled and reopened in 1902.
