Silent No More Conference

I wasn’t able to attend the whole conference but I was there during the corporate prayer for the Radchenko family who lost their son/brother. That moment has stayed with me to this day and probably a long time. The art of standing on our knees and bringing the sorrow of losing someone dear to our Lord in a sudden moment was a beautiful act of community. A break from a routine and schedule to bow before our God. I found myself at a loss for words, feeling as though anything ...I pray for will be inadequate but I stumbled across Romans 8:26 which says, Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words. Situations like these remind us of our need for God. We all labor together in prayer which is an outpour of love, care, and unity. When we weep with those who are weeping, it’s not a time when we try to sound spiritual or eloquent but bring honest fervent prayer to the Father @vletta.kat Thank you for sharing. During street evangelism, we came up to this woman to ask if she has a burden or regret and she told us that she regrets not helping her neighbor when his dad passed away. We gave her a candy cane with a bible verse on it and she told us about how God has worked in her and her son’s lives. She raised her son in the church but he was incarcerated as a teenager. When he got out of prison, he went back to church and became saved. He’s now a deacon at their church and works with the handicapped. She said that he had to find Christ on his own and that he had to make the decision to take up his cross. It was just so interesting to see how many Christ-followers there are around us, even though it doesn’t feel like it. That interaction really touched my heart. @julia.serjantova

This conference was definitely an eye opener. Through evangelizing I was surprised to see how clueless and lost the people of this world are and how much we can do to change that even through the smallest acts of kindness. How we can plant that small seed that God will one day grow into something bigger. I realized how important it is to be accountable towards your friends, how even one check in text can do so much. How easily the people around us can act like they’re okay but be in so much need of a shoulder to lean on. I realized how insanely blessed I am to be surrounded by such amazing people, accountable friends, passionate believers and a God who works wonders, perfectly placing me where I need to be.
