As of March 31, 2021 Pfizer-BioNTech announced that, in a Phase 3 Trial in adolescents 12- to 15-years-old with or without prior coronavirus infection, the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine demonstrated 100% efficacy in preventing severe COVID-19 disease in kids The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently evaluating the Pfizer vaccine to expand the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to include those 12 to 15 years of age, as the findings have yet to be reviewed. If the EUA is... approved, BDCC hopes to vaccinate this age group before the start of the next school year September 2021. If you or someone you know has any children between the ages of 12 to 17 and would like to receive the Pfizer vaccine, please complete the form in the link below. You have the option to choose a date and time for an appointment. This may change based on when the Pfizer vaccine is approved in kids, but we are planning ahead to protect our children. Introducing the newest member of the GRP fam; YVONNE! Yvonne is our fabulous new grant writer, and we couldn’t be happier to have her! Let’s learn a little about Yvonne;... Where are you from? Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia What brought you to GRP? What excites you about GRP? My daughter Evan recruited me after she joined the GRP board. Since I am semi-retired she asked if I would be interested in volunteering but then the grant writing position came open and she encouraged me to apply for it. I’m excited about joining GRP to once again be in a creative environment. I am both a musician and visual artist and have neglected these areas of my life for many years. I am looking forward to being inspired by GRP youth and contribute to the process that will help them pursue their passions. What do you hope to bring to the GRP Board? (Skills, experiences, perspectives, etc) I have a very diverse work history having worked in multiple industries and environments which gives me a unique perspective. I hope to bring strategy and resource development ideas to help raise lots of money! What are you currently listening to? I love classic jazz vocalists like Nancy Wilson and Joni Mitchell but lately I’ve been listening to Corinne Bailey Rae and Snoh Aalegra.
