We've had several couples get engaged at the Midway, and its always very romantic, but this week an already married couple asked to spend a few nights for their anniversary here. He sa...id he was at the Night of the Living Dead cemetery by Pittsburgh this morning and hopes to make The Exorcist steps by D.C. by tonight. And we are on his list of locations to hit. This is the Monkey Room, which has pretty much looked like this for 20 years, with a real dead monkey in a tiny chair in the middle of the room. The monkey was a prop from the 1992 movie Medicine Man starring Sean Connery which I scooped up back in Hollywood. Around 2005 an investigation with a police cadaver dog discovered human bone chips within the walls (far right corner of room)! The discovery looked like a few little white dimes. A week later nine additional cadaver... dogs further confirmed this unusual find. Great acoustics to this room too. Overnight guests sometimes recorded or listened to music in this room. YOU TOO CAN EXPERIENCE THE MONKEY ROOM AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE GRAND MIDWAY HOTEL HISTORIC GHOST TOUR! With the changing into beautiful weather we've been flooded with hungry requests for the hotel tour "-Just to get out of the house! We have been meeting secretly in the hotel to adventure into old school Advanced Dungeons and Dragons modules written by Gary Gygax himself. We have an entire library of TSR materials from the late 1970s. Different players have joined in coming in from Pittsburgh. Other old friends are texting following from states away. Dr. Skot Jones is our DM. We begin this day meeting in the hotel Dragon Suite to learn details of our quest into Module B2: The Keep of the Borderlands... Enchantment abounds!

Two more ghost hunting teams spent the night! Haunted Investigators of PA and Native Spirit Paranormal! That's four teams in three weekends!!! (We are taking reservations now for 2021 investigations.) Here we see one of them just waking upstairs from their night...
