Roof we started today! After tearing off 2 layers of shingles and a layer of sheeting, then 3 layers of shingles, and a layer of sheeting then a layer of shingles a layer of sheeting and a layer of cedar we finally got it partially torn off only to discover almost all the IMPORTANT rafters aren't even attached. Thus is a homeowners worst nightmare and why you should NEVER SHINGLE OVER SHINGLES! This job just doubled in price almost and is not safe at all! Thank God we discovered it now!!!
