Yet another winter storm heading our way! Again, please avoid travel if possible and if you do need to drive, slow down and give yourself plenty of time.

6:50am 2/15/21 A winter storm will bring snow, sleet, and ice to PA today until tomorrow morning! The storm will come in two waves: #1 - this morning light s...now and icy mix ...then a lull in precip this afternoon... #2 - Heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain tonight. Snow rates in NW PA of 1" per hour. Avoid travel if possible and take precautions if you must drive. Roads may become icy and/or snow covered.

Here we go again! While this total snowfall prediction may not be as significant as some of the other storms we've seen in our area this winter, any accumulation can still be dangerous. If you must drive, remember to take your time, give yourself plenty of stopping distance and give plow and salt trucks the right of way. Make sure your entire vehicle is cleaned off to prevent flying snow and ice from hitting other vehicles. Clear sidewalks and fire hydrants of snow. And as always, no matter what the weather, SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER for emergency responders! Drive safe!

H&S Towing Service Inc., a towing and repair company serving the greater Harrisburg area, has two immediate openings for service writers one in our automotive shop and one in our truck repair shop. These positions require at least a high school degree or GED as well as at least 2 years of work experience in the industry with a strong understanding of auto and/or truck repair. Applicants must have strong customer service skills, be well organized and pay close attention to det...ail. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to - Providing excellent customer service - Listening carefully to the customer descriptions and complaints - Advise customers on necessary and recommended repairs and offer pricing quote - Communicate with parts suppliers and technicians to guarantee all supplies needed are on hand - Provide updates to customer as work is completed - Maintain customer and company records by keeping all files organized - Schedule appointments over the phone - Keeping accurate parts inventory Qualifications - Basic math - Strong understanding of auto mechanics or truck repair and the ability to identify appropriate repairs for vehicle issues - Ability to breakdown complicated industry terms into understandable advice for customers as needed - Computer and data entry skills - Organizational and record-keeping skills - Ability to stand, walk, sit and lift up to 25 pounds - Have a teamwork mindset in the workplace and accept feedback - Understand company schedules and time management - Ability to multi-task and work in high stress environments - Must be reliable and on time for scheduled shift Hours for these positions are 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
