We hauled this 1948 Nash tow truck to and from the Pittsburgh World of Wheels show for our good customer and friend Joe Barber. This truck is all untouched original, with the first owners being Vollmer Auto Sales in Rochester. We truly appreciate Joe for trusting us with his beautiful truck, and we just wanted to share this rare vehicle with our followers as well. Thanks, Joe!

He would go out of his way to make sure his friends were okay, and lord help you if you messed with any of us. We can’t count one bad memory with Dennis. He made ever...ything he was involved in such a good experience. His sense of humor was enough to make anyone laugh on their worst day. Post from last night around 9:30PM. We were dispatched on behalf of Baden police department for a severe head-on MVA at the intersection of Johnson Avenue and Route 65. Due to circumstances given by 911 Dispatch, we deployed two flatbeds and our Emergency Response Unit. Upon arrival, we observed a 2015 Chrysler 200 and a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu had collided in the intersection. The Chrysler had extreme damage to the front end with airbag deployment. The Chevy had extreme damage... to the passenger front corner and side. Both vehicles were leaking a heavy amount of operating fluids onto the roadway. The fluids were diked upon arrival to prevent further discharge. Each vehicle was loaded onto a flatbed for transport from the scene due to the damage sustained. Once vehicles were cleared from the work space, our HAZWOPER certified team finished the scene remediation by neutralizing each vehicle spill separately to avoid any cross contamination or chemical reactions. The contaminated absorbent for each vehicle was contained in its own DOT drum for manifesting and disposal. Power brooms were used to ensure all fluids were encapsulated and no slippery sheen was left behind. All debris was removed and contained for disposal. All vehicles cleared the scene to head back to port. Once back to port, vehicles were unloaded into the secured lot. Both flatbed decks were neutralized from the remaining leaking fluids. All equipment was ready for next dispatch. The occupant of the Chevy was at our shop today. He was uninjured in the accident. One occupant of the Chrysler did leave the scene via ambulance. It is unknown of their condition at this time. It is also unknown the condition of the other occupant of the Chrysler as well. Please keep everyone involved in your prayers during this difficult time. Huge thank you to all police departments that assisted us with traffic control and safety. It truly takes a team to handle situations so safely and professionally.

We donated this Buick to the Beaver County SWAT crew to practice their training on this morning. We were privileged to be on site of the training and observe their operational tactics. What a wonderfully trained group of individuals we have in Beaver County! It was very interesting to witness first hand the many different tools and functions of the SWAT truck in regards to a vehicle stand off situation. The crew all work amazingly well together, especially considering how strenuous and dangerous their job is. Remember to thank your local officers and special operations for all they do to protect our communities!

Our company was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover recovery for Economy police department. Due to circumstances given by 911 Dispatch, we responded with a flatbed, wrecker, and our ERU. The vehicle failed to navigate a turn, instead striking a sloped yard embankment and proceeding to rollover. The rainfall was very heavy at this time. Upon arrival, the vehicle was still on its roof sideways in the homeowner’s driveway causing loss of use and property damage. Due to the l...ocation of the vehicle, it could only be accessed from a downhill position as the vehicle was blocking the only entry to the property. Due to the wet grass and pavement, a downhill recovery on its roof is not ideal. Our wrecker was stationed below the vehicle to perform a reverse rollover procedure which is safer and more appropriate in this situation. The vehicle is rigged closest to the wrecker. We then run the boom up and extend it outwards while releasing tension on the wire rope to roll the vehicle back onto its wheels uphill. Once the vehicle was back onto its wheels, it was able to be transported from the scene back to our location. The vehicle did sustain damage all over as shown in the photos. The driver of the vehicle was not injured severely, but as expected is sore following the accident. Keep him in your prayers! The vehicle left a heavy amount of glass, debris, and illicit fluids in the driveway causing an extreme hazard for the homeowners. Our HAZWOPER crew placed down environmentally safe absorbent to neutralize the fluids. We raked all the glass and debris from their property and contained it for disposal. All the contaminated absorbent was contained in a DOT drum and manifested for proper disposal. A huge thank you to the New Sewickley police officer that stayed outside with us on scene in the heavy downpour rain while Economy police department was tied up on an additional calls. We truly appreciate the help!

Due to an unfortunate circumstance where a vehicle took down the telephone pole that supplies our electric and several sections of our fence, we will be closed today. We currently have no power to our shop, as well as several neighbors. Duquesne Light is working to restore our power, but it will most likely be an all day project due to the extent of damages. Thankfully the pole narrowly missed one of wreckers and one of our flatbeds that was inside the fence. We are still abl...e to respond to emergency calls as needed as our regular number is transferred to our mobile phone. You can still reach us at 724-869-3368. We will update as electricity is restored and normal operations can resume. The driver of the vehicle is uninjured. He lost the brakes on his vehicle coming down the hill and chose to hit the pole rather than our trucks. Nobody was hurt, which is the important thing in this situation. Post from Tuesday, September 22, 2020. We were dispatched to a multiple vehicle fire in Pinecone Village apartments for Baden police departments. Upon arrival, we observed four vehicles that had been involved in a heavy vehicle fire in the parking lot. There was a Dodge Neon, a Honda Accord, an Infinifi Qx50, and a Ford Focus. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the vehicles in flames. The fire departments were quick to respond, getting it under control and stopping the spread.... Due to the circumstances, the vehicles involved had to be inspected by a fire marshall. Once his investigation was complete, our crew was able to remove the vehicles and neutralize the scene. There was a large amount of burnt materials, fluids, melted metals, and chemicals left on the parking lot. Being that this area is assigned parking, the burnt vehicles and hazardous mess were causing an issue for tenants and making it difficult to get around. This area is heavily trafficked by civilians, children, and animals so it was imperative to contain the scene properly as to ensure no dangers or health hazards were exposed. Our crew placed cones and tape to secure our scene. All the vehicles were removed from the area as they were a hazard and taken to our facility for containment. Then we were able to begin our neutralization. We removed all the large, heavy burnt debris and contained it in DOT drums. We then placed absorbent down to contain the leftover residue and fluids. All the absorbent was worked in with a power broom to ensure we gathered as much contaminants as possible. All the absorbent was also contained in DOT drums. Gasoline from one of the vehicles was absorbed and contained separately as to not cause any reactions or contamination. Once all absorbent was recovered, the area was covered in an eco-friendly detergent to ensure no slippery sheen or residue was left behind. The scene was secured enough to allow the tenants to resume normal parking operations and travel the lot without hazard. There was property damage done to the pavement, a dumpster, and a shed nearby, however no injuries were sustained. Huge thank you to all the fire departments, police departments, fire marshall, and all others who responded to this scene and assisted in getting it under control. The fact that there were no injuries is phenomenal for this situation being such an intense fire. This could have been much worse if not for the wonderful people working together to help their community. Please give thanks to all first responders, as many of your local fire departments are volunteer. They choose to risk their lives to help others. We ask that you send prayers to all involved as many lost their transportation and belongings in their vehicles from this situation. A before and after repair of a customer’s 2016 Mazda CX-3. He struck a blowout tire off a semi truck while on Interstate 79. The tire proceeded to go under his vehicle, as well as striking the driver front side. It caused damage to the front bumper, undercarriage covers, and several other pieces. We replaced the front bumper, as well as its interior components. Multiple under engine shields and both inner fender liners were replaced. The wheel lip molding and rocker molding were replaced. The vehicle got a four wheel alignment to ensure no suspension damage. Once all new pieces were assembled, they were installed on the vehicle. The vehicle’s exterior and interior were detailed for return to the customer. Nicholas, we thank you for your business!

We have chosen to remove the post from the rollover accident on Tuesday for respect of the family and the neighborhood. There was too much hostility and negativity between parties. We ask that everyone take this time to be thankful nobody was injured, regardless of being occupants in the vehicle or bystanders. This incident could have been much worse than it was, and we are grateful it was not regardless of circumstances. We still extend our utmost prayers to everyone involved.

Post from early this morning around 1:00AM. This 2018 Ford Focus ST struck the jersey barrier, causing damage to the entire driver side, then continued for another several hundred feet before coming to rest immobilized. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front and rear driver side suspension from the collision. The driver air bag deployed as well. We dispatched our LCG flatbed with air dump and low load angle since the vehicle is a specialty modified racing version and... was on the ground due to damages. We loaded the vehicle on with a special soft strap bridle as to not damage the suspension any further. Once the vehicle was loaded, it was secured with 8 point tie down and transported back to our lot. We removed a small amount of debris from where the initial impact occurred. Due to the damage and detached suspension, we unloaded the vehicle with the forklift in the front to make the unloading process much more efficient and to not cause further damage. The vehicle was then blocked up and secured in our gated lot. Regardless of the vehicle being damaged, our company ensures that we handle every vehicle as if it is brand new, undamaged because that is how a customer would expect to be treated. There is never any reason to cause further damage to an already damaged vehicle, regardless of the extent already done. The driver of the vehicle was not at the scene upon our arrival. We are unknown if he sustained any injuries in the accident. Please keep him in your prayers.

Post from Friday, August 21 2020. We were dispatched to 14th Street and Beaver Road for Ambridge PD for a disabled vehicle. The passenger front lower ball joint broke, causing the tire to become wedged up into the wheel well, pulling the axle out, and rendering the vehicle immobile. The local Ambridge resident requested us to repair the vehicle at our facility. We loaded the vehicle very carefully as not to cause any further damage. We unloaded the vehicle at our shop, ordere...d parts, and began repairs immediately. We were able to replace his ball joint, replace his upper control arm, replace his outer tie rod end, reinstall the axle, repair his fender liner, and get his vehicle back onto the road the same day. Post from Friday, August 14 2020, around 11pm. This 2018 Hyundai Elantra left the roadway, struck a guardrail, removed a large section of it, and then came to rest with the passenger front dangling over the ravine below. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the passenger side and front end. All airbags were deployed. The vehicle was still stuck on top of the guardrail posts. We rigged to the rear of the vehicle for the safest and most efficient access point. We winched the v...ehicle off the posts and guardrail until safely able to be loaded. The vehicle was transported from the scene via flatbed due to the damages sustained. A heavy amount of debris was gathered and removed from the berm, wooded area, and roadway to return the scene to pre-accident conditions. There were three occupants of the vehicle. One was transported from the scene via ambulance. They did sustain some injuries in the accident, but it is unknown to what extent. Please keep them in your prayers during their healing process.

Got the brand new frame all rust proofed and painted today! Hopefully we can start assembly of it tomorrow or Monday. We are moving along quite nicely.

A little late night tow for a customer. This here is a 1974 Stingray Corvette. Notice how low the front bumper is on these style vehicles. This truck is equipped with a specialty Century LCG bed with air ride that has the ability to dump. This means that not only is the bed lower than four feet to start, but it also is able to dump several more inches with the air released from our air ride bags. This allows for a mere 9 degree load angle, meaning nearly anything and everything is able to clear our bed without touching. Classic cars? Covered! Sports car? No problem! Exotic vehicle? Bring it on! There isn’t anything we can’t handle with the utmost quality and professionalism! We also have a set of race ramps allowing for extra distance to load for those extra low, specialty vehicles such as ground effects and lower valances!
