Scholarships available for Hempfield students through The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.

Each Hempfield Area school donated baskets of goodies to support the HASD Foundation Funds! Come to the first football game of Hempfield Area and Greensburg-Salem to buy raffle tickets to win a basket. All money will benefit the HASD Foundations Funds to support the students, who are our future!

The Hempfield Area School Board created two Foundation Funds in 2011, one to support student scholarship (Scholarship Foundation Fund) and one to support grants and special district projects (Charitable Foundation Fund.) These Hempfield Area School District (HASD) Scholarship and Charitable Foundation Funds are intended to aid district students and teachers by providing support beyond what is available through state and local funding. Money from the Foundation Funds supports ...those initiatives that fall outside the district budget initiatives that would otherwise not be funded. The Hempfield Area School District Scholarship and Charitable Foundation Funds continue to excel because of the support of generous donors. In the past three year of operation, our Foundation Funds have been able to provide: Four $1,000 scholarships to students Four $1,000 Educational Grants for innovative classroom initiatives ...
